Chelford travelled to Disley as champions; 90 points clear of 2nd place looking to extend their winning run to 8 on the bounce.
Having won the toss Chelford opted to bat first on a green bowler-friendly looking pitch. Bowler friendly it proved to be, the only partnership of any note was 51 between C.Fenn and I.patel who both batted well in difficult conditions. M.Dickenson (30) also batted well taking Chelfords total to 127 all-out. For Disley; A.Wood was pick of the bowlers taking 4-23 and M.Blackbourn 3-44.
In reply Disley never looked comfortable only W.Ritchie 35 taking the fight to Chelfords bowlers. Chelfords openers K.Bhardwa 1-15 and D.Fenn 1-13 both performed well causing plenty of problems for Disley but it was the introduction of Z.Khan 3-17 and M.Shallcross 5-29 that destroyed the Disley batters.Disley 75 all-out. Chelford win by 52 runs quite a margin in a low scoring game.
All in all an excellent performance keeping the winning streak alive.Next week is the seasons final game and Chelford welcome Glazebury to Peover Lane.
